Ethos & Values

Over the past year, we have engaged in a collaborative journey with our school community to define a set of core values that inspire our vision and underpin our culture. These values guide the way we learn, work and grow together. Recently, staff and students reflected on these values, articulating what they mean within our shared school experience.

Team work:
As a united school community, we embody true collaboration by supporting one another, sharing knowledge generously, listening with respect and communicating with clarity, ensuring that together we move forward with purpose and direction.

Resilience:
We strive to be the best we can be by encouraging one another and fostering a spirit of perseverance. We adapt positively to challenges, remain solution-focused in the face of difficulties and prepare ourselves with the skills and mindset needed to embrace whatever the future may hold. In doing so, we nurture resilient learners who are confident, capable and ready to thrive in an ever-changing world.

Ambition:
We embrace and encourage challenges for both children and staff and are driven to succeed with clear goals and strong pedagogy, therefore ensuring every child makes progress from their starting point and is fully prepared for the next stage of their education. As one child said, "everyone achieves at Castleview!"

Creativity:
We inspire children and staff to think outside the box, nurturing curiosity, imagination and innovation. We provide opportunities for expression across the curriculum, encouraging learners to explore new ideas, develop original thinking and approach challenges with confidence and openness. In doing so, we cultivate a culture where creativity is celebrated as a vital part of learning and personal growth.

Through kindness and respect, we create a school community where encouragement, support and positivity shape every interaction. We strive to be role models who uphold strong morals, embracing inclusivity and acceptance so that every individual feels valued, safe and celebrated.
